WELCOME TO OLYMPIA RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Rhythmic Gymnastics is one of the most beautiful and precise Olympic Sports. It is a combination of the dynamics and flexibility of gymnastics, the technical knowledge of ballet, and the self-expression and rhythm of modern dance. Unmatched for its elegant, expressive, precise and graceful movements, Rhythmic Gymnastics is using hand-held apparatus such as hoops, balls, ropes, ribbons, and clubs in specially choreographed rhythmic group and solo routines.

Through careful guidance, respectful encouragement and the highest standards of expert coaching, young girls in our program are developed into confident, strong and healthy young women.

The benefits of Rhythmic Gymnastics to girls in their formative years include physical fitness, self-discipline, positive self-esteem, lasting friendships, team skills, fun and a healthy lifestyle that the gymnast will sustain for life.

Club Olympia rhythmic gymnastics was originally founded in 1997 in Bulgaria , Eastern Europe by Daniela Todorova and three other coaches.
Since then the club regularly takes part in national and international tournaments. Now about 150 girls are members of the club, from them 80 are registered competitors.

In 2005 Daniela Todorova was invited to coach Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team members.
In 2009 she founded club Olympia in Vancouver BC. Our club's vision is to be Canada's premier rhythmic gymnastics club. Our mission is to make rhythmic gymnastics accessible to all young girls in our community and provide continuing opportunities to those who wish to excel in this sport.
Our club's primary goal is to grow the club and offer comprehensive programs, both recreational and competitive, at all levels of rhythmic gymnastics and related disciplines. Club Olympia long-term goal is to be able to offer its gymnasts, both present and future, the challenges and enjoyment that will help them to be the best they can be. Small class sizes and personalized programs, with careful guidance, respectful encouragement and the highest standards of expert coaching ensure that our gymnasts receive best training available.
